Fondue Cooking, Your Recipe For Romance

A romantic way to celebrate your love over dinner & to heat up your romance!

Spend a romantic evening alone – just you, your lover and your fondue pot. Turn the lights down low, slide 'your' song into the CD player and light some scented candles to intensify the romantic aura.

It's actually a good thing that most couples don't get out the best tablecloth and china for every meal. After a while, the elegance fads and becomes ordinary and mundane.

The same applies to those day-in, day-out dinners where we fly home from work, either grab a bag of fast food on the way, or once we are home we tuck a tray into the microwave, or warm up last weekend's leftovers and call it 'dinner'. If this description sounds a bit like your dinner-life, drag out your fondue pot, blow off the dust and create some magic!  

Some great dips to use in your fondue pot as a main course (or to accompany your main course) are:

cheese - Velveta is excellent because it melts so easily.

 

cheese PLUS 1 jar of salsa EQUALS Queso Fondue Dip

 

1 block of Velveta cheese PLUS 1 can of any variety of tomatoes EQUALS another Queso variation.

 

salsa – Warm your favorite salsa and serve with a basket of tortilla chips that have been warmed in the microwave. Dress for the occasion in sombreros and do a cha-cha or two.

 

chili – Toss a couple of cans of your favorite chili into the fondue pot. Serve with corn chips, crackers, grated cheese and catsup – or any of your favorite chili fixings. Try to skip the chopped onions as your intentions are to 'set a romantic' mood.
