Rapunzel, Let
Down Your Hair!
Locked in a Hair Rut? Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!
People can be a lot like cattle; they keep going into the same gate day after day, week after week and so forth.
We tend to choose the same style of clothes, the same shades of makeup, and some of us are even wearing the same hairstyle today that we wore with our bell bottom jeans.
Some hairy suggestions to enhance your romance…..
Goldie Locks, Hair Care Specialist
If you’ve been wearing your hair in the same style for weeks or years on end, try something different! It’s just about guaranteed that your partner will take a second glance at the different-looking you.
Try pulling your hair up – braid it, clasp it, put it in a ponytail, or pigtails. Experiment with hair ornaments, beautiful combs, pins and glitter.
If your hair is looking drab, check into coloring it – or try highlights. If it needs a lift, what about a perm? You may want to schedule an appointment with your stylist to get professional input. This is especially wise whenever one is contemplating a major change, such as a drastic color change.
Hair Care – A Few Problem Areas
Scalp
- Are there any of those annoying flakes?
- Is the scalp rough and scaly?
- Is the scalp extra dry or oily?
The problems could include: vitamin deficiency, allergy, reaction to hair products, over perming, over coloring.
Check out the dandruff products on the market. They can be quite effective. A couple of teaspoons of flaxseed oil per day can help replenish lost oils.
Condition of Your Locks
- Has hair lost its luster and shine?
- Is hair thinning?
- Does hair break easily?
Diet, hormone imbalances, and over-brushing the hair can all contribute to the condition of your locks. As a note on brushing, 100 strokes per day can be very damaging to hair. Brushing aids in distributing the essential oils, but when done in excess breakage can occur.
A healthy diet, plenty of exercise and water will help keep your hair beautiful. Be good to yourself because you deserve it!
