City Bus Ride
Some children have never experienced a ride on a school bus, much less a commercial bus – something your child may one day have to do. Prepare them now by taking a ride than veins through a major city.
Explain the routes used and how they can determine which one they will need, as well as how to purchase tickets.
Ferry Ride
If your child is older, or is not frightened of the dark, a ferry ride is stupendous at night! With the stars hanging high overhead against an ebony backdrop, it’s a memory that will remain engrained forever in your child’s thoughts.
If you take the day trip, you may be lucky enough to have a few seagulls share the ride with you! Bring along some bread to toss, just in case.
Canoe Ride
Every child should experience at least one canoe ride. One of the best sources for an inexpensive canoe ride is your local state park. Fees vary, but generally are rated on a per hour basis, with most well under $10 for two people.
Not only will this introduce your child to a new sport, it’s also great exercise.
