Pom-Poms

Pom-Poms are an inexpensive art that can be used to decorate a multitude of things – from packages to a child’s room.  They look exceptionally pretty when hung by string from the ceiling.

To make pom-poms, take several layers of colored (or white) tissue paper that have been cut into 5 X 7 sheets and then fold them like a fan (you can adjust the size if desired to meet your craft needs.  Next, tie the ‘fan’ in the middle tightly with a thick gauge of string.  

Now, simply pull apart the layers to separate into a lovely pom-pom ball.  Before folding, you can snip the ends to create different illusions.  

You can also dip your ‘pulled’ pom-pom into a bit of glue and glitter for a snazzy effect that is guaranteed to be an eye-catcher.
