Snowflakes

These are beautiful, fragile and fun!  Begin with small Styrofoam balls and a box of toothpicks.  Stick the toothpicks into the ball until it’s entirely covered.  The more toothpicks you use, the more stunning your snowflake!

Next, take a can of Christmas snow and spray the ‘tooth-picked ball’.  Dust with glitter while wet if desired, or attach a string before spraying so you can hang your snowflake from the ceiling.  These also look beautiful on a Christmas tree.

If you’re really feeling ‘craftsy’, take your child to the craft store and purchase small do-dads that can be glued onto the snowflakes. This craft project is also very applicable during winter months.  String the snowflakes and hang them in a row so that they dangle through an open window.
