XIIII.  HEALTH ACTIVITIES

First Aid Kit

Construct a first aid kit together if you don’t already have one in your home.  A first aid kit may also come in handy in your auto.  If your child is very young, explain a few items such as Band-Aids; bigger kids should learn what products to use on cuts and wounds, headaches, etc.  

This is a great time to throw in the dangers of medicines.  Be sure and put the kit away after use in a place where your child will not have access.

Doctor Dolly

You’ll need a sick dolly or teddy bear for this activity.  Pretend that the patient has different complaints.  Teach your child some of the home remedies they can use to make their patient better.

This is an excellent time to share the risks of medicines, and to let your child that all aren’t beneficial.
