There's nothing like scents to set the mood for romance. The retail market has so many wonderful products to choose from these days - potpourri, candles, oils, bath salts - the list is almost endless. Have you ever considered making your own scented products? Bath salts is one of the easiest and economical items you can make...

Below are three very basic recipes for bath salts. Have some fun experimenting on your own such as choosing different scents, layering the colors in a pretty jar, tying them up with ribbons in net.

After you've created your exotic scented crystals, try them out with your lover. Relax and get romantic together. After your soothing soak, massage one another to achieve total relaxation. Or, take a long relaxing bath on your own and soak your troubles away.

Recipe for Basic Bath Salts
2 cups Epsom salts
1/2 cup sea salt
6 drops any scented oil
3 drops food coloring

Place Epsom and sea salt in container. Add 3-4 drops of your favorite scented oil. Sprinkle into warm bath as desired.
Recipe for Bath Salts Fizzy Style
You'll feel like you're taking a bath in a bottle of scented champagne! It's so easy too! This is enough salt for 2 baths.
1/3 cup baking soda
1/4 cup citric acid crystals
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
Mix all the ingredients. Store in an airtight container. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of the salts into warm bath.
Recipe for Sea Foam Bath Salts
1 cup liquid soap
2 tablespoons of oil
Your favorite food coloring
12 cups rock salt crystals
Mix first 3 ingredients then pour over salt. Stir until crystals are coated with the mixture. Next, place the crystals on a shallow pan & cover with wax paper. Allow to dry for about 1 day.
