Nookie Tonight
How to Alienate Your
Lover - Act 1
Nick meets his old
flame Julie on Fifth & Wine and decides to take her home with
him to introduce her to his new misses, Arian. Julie knows
that there'll never be anything solid between her and Nick, but
my - is he a sharp dresser. And, another 'oh my', because
he's such a difficult catch that he sure would make a desirable
trophy - something that a woman could pride herself in netting.
Act II
Arian has the dinner
table shimmering with a romantic aura - candles, wine, china and
a small gift for her beloved Nick. What a lucky woman she
was to have secured his love. He was picky about everything
- from his clothing to his choice of movie, depending on his mood
for that given day. She only hoped that he would like the
$2,000 watch she'd been saving so long to give to him. He
had mentioned more than once how he'd fancied the bobble when they'd
pass Smitty's Jewelers.
Act III
The three of them
were seated in the den, Arian feeling most uncomfortable. How
dare Nick bring his ex-girlfriend here! He was looking pretty
clucky right now, too - roaming those large blue eyes of his curiously
over Julie. But Julie didn't seem uncomfortable - nor
did Nick.
So what would you
do if you were in Arian's shoes? Would you er...'watch'
out for your own self and ditch Nick? Or, would you grin and
bear it because Nick's such a hot catch?
And what has Nick
got going on in the back of that fop little head of his? Did
he bring Julie to meet his better half because he wanted to show
Arian off? Or...could he have a little internal love
flower that's suddenly festering feelings for Julie?
In the end, Arian
realized that Nick was nothing more than a fop and Julie, a fop
lover. She decided to return the watch for her $2,000. She's
still deciding how to handle Nick's illustrious moment, and in the
meantime has invited her mother for a long visit. Yes....payback
is ....well, enough said.
Moral of the Story:
"Don't be a fop or your romance will be a flop."
