Darla's and Dave's relationship started out ultra wonderful. So much romance...so much passion! But as time moved forward, their relationship became beached on Passion Island.
Slowly, Darla began to grow a hooked beak and long claws. Dave did likewise, and even grew a couple of spurs on the back of his heels. But it was Darla who enjoyed flogging Dave every now and then with her suddenly sharp tongue. And Dave had quickly discovered that he no longer wanted Darla hovering beneath his strong, protective wings.

The relationship ended more quickly than it had began with Darla and Dave going their separate ways. Nether had broken heart. Both only wanted to fly away from the other. So how can lovebirds transform into vultures, you might ask and fly away without looking back? Because by the time that the relationship ended, there was little to no love left between Darla and Dave. Keep in mind that even the best of people sometimes just don't get along. It doesn't mean that either person is bad; both may be close to sainthood. It's just life. |
