"Yes," she nodded, taking a lingering sip of the cocoa. Like the stew, it was rich and delicious.
She continued with, "I'm a.....safety instructor-"
Phillip's spontaneous laugh cut her off mid-air, Heather tensing over his outburst.
But the more she considered the situation, the funnier it appealed to her and soon, they were both laughing so hard that she was certain her grandfather was going to storm into the room and demand an explanation.
Heather had leaned over as she laughed, almost unable to collect her breath and when she lifted her head, her face met Phillip's.
He had completely sobered....
Then they kissed drawn like two moths drawn to a hot flame.
As Heather's heart raced in her chest out of pure delight, Phillip was coping with the intense level of passion that he felt for her.
There was a lot to learn about this exquisite woman and he had a feeling that it was going to be an adventure getting to know this delicious kumquat who had fallen off a roof into his heart.....
