How to Enjoy a Honey of a Honeymoon on a Tight Budget

Amusement and water parks are thick these days. If one is close by, consider making a day of it together. Be alert for discount tickets and those 'two days for the price of one' specials.

If the food is too expensive in the park, leave to enjoy a pizzarea, then return to the park.

Many hotels offer discounted rates throughout the week, with rates generally increasing for weekend travelers. Call ahead to book and mention that will be on your honeymoon. Many times, if a hotel isn't busy, they will upgrade your room.

Plan to book two nights at an economically priced hotel, such as Super 8, Motel 6, or Best Western. Price doesn't always guarantee quality. If you can book a newly remodeled hotel/motel, then go for it!

Recap: Head for your hotel following your wedding ceremony. Visit the park the next day, or on the next two days if you're lucky enough to fall into the 'two for one' deal. That's two nights at the hotel, then head back home. Relax together on that last day by visiting local museums. Enjoy a nice meal together.
