How
to Enjoy a Honey of a Honeymoon on a Tight Budget
State Parks offer beauty and scenerity, and it just doesn't get more romantic than that. Some even have cabins you can rent; almost all of them have tent grounds.
If you don't have a tent, perhaps someone will lend you one to use on your honeymoon.
Tent spots range from $7 up, but are rarely over $10 per day. So if you've got the basic gear, that amounts to about $30 for your three-day stay. The other $20 will go towards one very romantic meal as you head back home.
And while at the campgrounds, feast on items that you've purchased and stashed away for your special honeymoon. Some great take alongs include: the fixings for smores and roasted marshmallows, hot dogs, hamburgers, bacon, eggs, canned chili, corn chips, snack bars and cakes, candy bars, granola bars, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, all nuts, dried fruits, Pop Tarts, the fixings for tea, coffee or cocoa, and breads.
Consider both National and State Parks, and don't forget about the Recreational areas. The National
Buffalo River is one of the most impressive works made by the Hands of Nature.
What will you find at the parks? Depending upon the area of the country where you are going, you may see rivers, lakes, streams, waterfalls, springs, mountains, hills, fishing, hiking, biking, Nature Centers, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, sand, shells, birds, a variety of small and large animals, forest, woods, canyons and valleys.
If you live near the sea, consider beach camping. Walks on the beach are ultra romantic. Try to hitch a ride on a ferry, and be sure to build a sandcastle.
