Wedding Photo
Ideas
Wedding photography can be a chief expense for your wedding. If funds are limited, there are many ideas you can use to obtain the photos you want, at a reduced cost. Whatever route you choose, your wedding photos can provide you with a lifetime of romantic memories.
Studios - Rather than have your 'official' photos shot at the ceremony, consider going to a professional studio to have them made. This can be done either before or after your wedding. The department stores that are located in malls usually have discreet areas and are very reasonable.
Strength in Numbers - Hand out disposable cameras to your guests and ask them to take photos. You may come up with some very memorable shots.
Proofs - Copiers are so good these days that you can get some pretty decent photos blown up from your original photo choices. This is very economical and when the enlargement is hung, it's virtually indistinguishable from an expensive print. I knew a couple who used this method and was very impressed by their results.
A Little Now, A Little Later -
If your wedding is a few months or weeks away, make it a point to a few rolls of film each week. By the time your wedding date arrives, you'll have all the film that you need. There's also not a huge pressure to get them developed immediately - other than wanting to see the photos. By buying a little now, and a little later, it will ease Pocketbook Stress.
Video Camera - Stick to a few great camera shots and film the rest on video.
Young Expert - Consider checking out local school camera clubs. Young people are very intense and interested in the things that they love, and you may be able to work out something with a young photographer that will fit into your budget.
