INVITATIONS
Color printers and copiers
have opened up a wonderful new world for the decorator in each of us!
The following suggestions
may help trigger some ideas of your own. Get out your creative juices and let them flow!
Most of the suggestions utilize a computer for inputting and printing your chosen words.
Please
bear in mind that the cost of a few generic invitations is nominal, including postage with benefits
making it well worth the small investment. You can spray or dust your invitations with perfume,
cologne or powder if desired to create a romantic scent!
Theme-Oriented Invitations:
Do you and your fiancée share a favorite identifiable interest?
Examples are famous singers,
movie stars, a specific animal, a sport, or a landscape. For instance, if you both like
tigers, then locate a great photograph of one, scan it into your computer then print it off on paper.
You may carry this a step further; read on below.
Perfect Words of Love: The
verse that you put on your invitation can be located through a myriad of sources. Visit your local
card shop and check out some of their most popular wedding invitations. Generally,
these must be ordered but they have samples in the store that you are free to browse through. Another
good source is again, the faithful library. Beautiful love poems can be found on the Internet
by the droves. Or, you may choose to write your own special love sonnet for your invitations.
Using Unique Sheets of Paper
as Invitations: If you visit your local office store, ask to see if they sell unique single-sheets
of paper. Although these are referred to as single-sheets, the store will generally have a small stack
of uniquely designed sheets. You may just find something that exudes what you and your
fiancée represent as a couple.
Personal Invitations: Find
a great photograph of you and your fiancée and have it copied onto your invitation paper. Include
a verse that you can write on your computer, then transfer onto the paper that has your picture
on it.
