WEDDING INVITATIONS
Generic Invitations: Generic
invitations are perhaps your most economical and fastest mode for delivering your wedding
announcement. Most dollar stores, five-and-dime stores, ‘supermarts’ and party stores carry generic
invitations.
They won’t be as resilient as the expensive versions; however, the idea is to
get everyone to the party, not dazzle them with a card that’s probably going to eventually end
up in the trash. Think about it; how many people save wedding invitations other than the
bride and groom and their families?
Internet Magic: There are
so many electronic card sites on the net that can carry your wedding invitation for free! You’ll
not only save a bundle on the invitations, but postage is also free!
Announcing Your Invitation:
If you happen to become engaged close to a family gathering, it’s the perfect time to announce
your engagement and issue the invitation all at once. You may even chalk up a few volunteers
to assist you with the planning and the expenses associated with your wedding. This has another
advantage; you’ll only have to purchase a few invitations for your friends who of course, weren’t
at the family gathering.
Telephone The Invitation:
Did you ever play a game as a child where everyone got in a circle and whispered something in the
person’s ear next to them, and then it traveled around until it came full circle? Why not use
this ‘game’ to announce your wedding? Call someone and ‘tag’ him or her. You’ll have to work
out a list so that everyone will be notified. This can be a fun way to get out your invitation!
